Excel in, Excel out — and the spreadsheet in the middle retired.
Every table in Karagem exports to Excel or CSV, and indicator values import the same way, so nothing is trapped. What changes is the workbook in the middle — the one that turns submissions into a donor table, maintained by one person, current as of their last free afternoon.
In the productBuilt in. Import and export both ship, on every table.
Starting from a spreadsheet you already have
Most programmes arrive with one: indicator definitions in one tab, quarterly values in another, a chart somebody built in 2024. The indicator template imports that history, so a series does not start at zero on the day you switch.
Why the middle workbook is the problem
It is where the errors live — a formula that stopped updating, a paste that shifted a column, duplicates removed by eye. It is where the delay lives, because it is only as current as the last afternoon someone had. And when that person leaves, the logic leaves with them.
Karagem is that workbook expressed as software and connected to the submissions: definitions written once, arithmetic run continuously, and the report generated rather than assembled.
Nothing is locked in
Every table exports. There is a REST API and signed webhooks. A programme that leaves takes its data in a format it can open, which is the only version of "your data is yours" that means anything.
